Le parcours s’amorce avec l’œuvre de Laurent Derobert, Force d’attraction de l’être rêvé, qui évoque un personnage imaginaire. Suivons-le à la trace...

Mirages est une exposition évolutive qui propose tous les six mois un nouvel accrochage. Quatre éditions ont été accueillies dans les murs du Hangar G2 à Bordeaux. 

Mirages donne à voir les œuvres de la collection du Frac Aquitaine dans des espaces inhabituels (plafonds, bureaux, réserves…). Ce projet vise à redéfinir le contexte et les conditions de monstration vécus ordinairement par les œuvres. Les visiteurs sont engagés dans une forme de mouvement, à la recherche d’œuvres qui semblent dissimulées et qu’ils ont pourtant sous les yeux.

Exploring, finding clues, de-compartmentalizing our vision, seizing the exhibition space… Amongst the maze of racks, storing units and galleries of the FRAC Aquitaine, Mirages is a cyclic exhibition inviting to an ocular journey, to a nomadism of the sight and mind. The route starts with the piece of Laurent Derobert, Force d’attraction de l’être rêvé, that calls to mind an imaginary character. Let’s follow its path…

Mirages is an ever-changing exhibition, with a new proposal of different artworks every six months. Four editions have taken place within the walls of the Hangar G2 in Bordeaux, home of the FRAC Aquitaine.

Mirages puts artworks from the collection of the FRAC Aquitaine into the spotlight in unusual places (ceilings, offices, storage area…). The goal of this project is to redefine the context and conditions of exhibition that are usually applied to the artworks. Visitors are engaged in a form of movement, in search of pieces that seem hidden but are really in plain sight, right under their eyes.
