Nous concevons les pratiques artistiques et curatoriales comme une possibilité d’intermédiation et de connexion. La création est pour nous un catalyseur de liens entre des communautés artistiques, sociales et culturelles, qui vise à une réinvention personnelle de la vie. Invitées en résidence à la Fonderie Kugler à Genève, nous lançons un appel à projets pour tenter de produire pendant ces onze jours un espace de culture indépendant.

Le fondement de notre collectif est l’abolition des hiérarchies et des frontières disciplinaires, stratégie qui cherche à mettre en lumière des formes plurielles de collaboration.

​

"Emergency" veut dire urgence, mais se réfère aussi à l'idée d'émergence. Le moment actuel que notre société traverse est marqué par l’incertitude et la mélancolie du vécu collectif des crises successives. La nouvelle sensibilité à la souffrance fait comprendre que la plupart des pathologies sont dues à la crise économique. Ensuite, l'individualisation de l'action accentue les pressions sur les individus. La société est perçue comme expérience du changement imprévisible, sans projet collectif, laissant l'individu à son autonomie.

Pour nous, tout ceci marque une urgence qui nous appelle à l’action immédiate, le besoin d’une émergence de nouvelles formes de l’être ensemble, mais aussi de l’être avec le monde.

We conceive artistic and curatorial practices as a possibility for intermediation and connection. For us, creation is a catalyst for links to be created between artistic, social and cultural communities aiming for a personal reinvention of life. Invited for an artistic residency at the Fonderie Kugler in Geneva, we are launching a call for projects to try to create an independent culture space within those eleven days.
The foundation of our group is the abolition of hierarchies and disciplinary borders; it’s a strategy aiming to bring forward multifaceted forms of collaboration.
“Emergency” encompasses urgency but also the notion of emergence. The present moment through which our society is going is shaped by the uncertainty and melancholy of the way we collectively reacted to the repeated crises. The new sensitivity to suffering makes us understand that most of the pathologies stem from the economic crisis. Then, the individualization of action emphasizes strains on individuals. Society is perceived as experiencing unforeseeable change, without any common project, leaving the individual with one’s own autonomy.
According to us, all of this points to an emergency calling us to act without delay, the need for an emergence and a rise of new forms of togetherness, but also of being with the world.
